About the Author

Margie Bissinger received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from Northwestern University. She has worked in orthopedic physical therapy since 1979. She's founder and director of Workfit Consultants, L.L.C., a firm dedicated to preventing and reducing the risk of both osteoporosis and work site injuries.

Currently, Ms. Bissinger works with clients who have osteoporosis or are at risk for developing the disease on an individual basis, as well as through group osteoporosis education and exercise classes. She has conducted many training programs for hospitals and corporations on a variety of topics including osteoporosis, ergonomics, back care and neck care.
